Are you passionate about making a difference in your child’s education and school community? Do you have ideas to share and a willingness to serve? If so, we invite you to consider running for a position on the Daphne Elementary School PTO Board!

President

The PTO president is a strong leader who can motivate others and lead through example. This individual must be comfortable with public speaking, be consistent/reliable and be able to to proactively oversee the day-to-day functions of the PTO Board as a whole. This team player is able to jump in anywhere necessary to get the job done and proud to represent the PTO board throughout the community.

1st VP

The 1st Vice President assists the president and assumes their duties in their absence. This individual’s skills will be utilized all across the board in managing PTO operations, working with committee and event chairs, and supporting the group wherever necessary.

2nd vp/events

The 2nd Vice President/Events Chair coordinates and plans school events such as fundraisers, family nights, and school celebrations (to include logistics, scheduling, promotion, and coordination of volunteers).

Secretary

Are you organized, task-focused, and good with words? As Secretary your responsibilities will include keeping an accurate record of meeting minutes, managing the PTO calendar, and sending out email correspondence and reminder messages to PTO Board members.

Treasurer

Are you a numbers person? Our PTO Treasurer is responsible for all funds that pass through our non-profit organization. This includes money collected at our events and fundraisers, as well as the disbursement of funds. As Treasurer you are also responsible for ensuring accurate bookkeeping, filing of sales taxes, and annual budget reporting. If you are a responsible individual who understands money, we want you on our board!
